What You Will Do * Provide nursing care to our residents in accordance with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of Practice. * Perform a range of nursing interventions such as initial and ongoing resident assessments, treatments, medication administration, wound care, falls risk assessment and prevention, transfer/discharge processes. * Participate in the development and implementation of care plans and nursing interventions in collaboration with the resident, family and interdisciplinary team. * Consult with the RN, DOC or Clinical Educator regarding topics such as nursing interventions, medications, treatments, dressings, tube feeding, complex diabetic care, etc. * Ensure that resident rights are maintained and respected which includes confidentiality and the right to participate in his or her own care. * In conjunction with the RN/DOC, you will mentor, assign, and delegate other members of the team to meet Resident care and service needs. * Ensure the supply, control and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics on site.
