Position: Health Care Aid * Full-Time * $30.00 - $33.00 / hr * Kelowna, BC / Kamloops, BC / Vernon, BC / Salmon Arm, BC / Lumby, BC Responsibilities: * Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians * Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities * Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans * Educate patients and their families on proper healthcare procedures and disease management * Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentialityRequirements: * Valid HCA license with BCCNM/ BC registration * Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a variety of settings such as Long-Term Care, assisted living facilities, or home care- Knowledge of palliative and geriatric care * Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols * Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus * Ability to provide dementia care and support for patients with cognitive impairments * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members * Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on nursing judgment * Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedulesSkills: * Patient care * Assisted living * Pain management * Geriatrics * Dementia care * Home care * Hospital * Acute careNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
