Postion: Health Care Assistant Wage: $29.83 per hour Interior Health is seeking a reliable and flexible Health Care Assistant (Patient Care Aide) to join our medical/surgical team at the VERNON JUBILEE HOSPITAL in beautiful VERNON, BC. As the Health Care Assistant (Patient Care Aide), you will work as a key team member of an interdisciplinary team that provides patient care within the hospital. Working under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s, Patient Care Aides follow established care plans and routines to deliver the best patient care possible. This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual employment and lead to regular employment. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours. About this location/unit:The Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) is responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care.
